What is the best freelancing platform?

Kiril Ulkin

Hello, Everyone!
Until now, I worked some kind of freelancing platforms including upwork.com, freelancer, com, guru.com, peopleperhour.com and etc.
I'd like to discuss which platform is the best one for developers to get jobs. In my opinion, upwork.com was the best for me.
Please share your opinions to help all developers to decide the best platform.
Thank you

Hi @Kiril Ulkin,

I have worked with some freelancing platforms like freelancer.com and guru.com - in fact our logo came from someone on Freelancer.com. I like it but can be a very confusing layout at first. I have tried doing development work however it seems the platform is dominated by companies and you would often be overlooked. So I would recommend if you are going to freelancer.com to making your profile resemble a company.

What is your opinion on Freelancer.com?

Hi, @Malcolm.

To tell the truth, I don't like freelancer.com site.
It could be good for client but for freelancers it's very dangerous place to work.
Developers could lost their money after they received from client.
No way to get money back.
I'd like to say about this site, "Very dangerous place!".

I'll be "that guy" and say the best freelance platform is the one you create for yourself with client stories, a portfolio, and contact form. :D Otherwise I have nothing to add as I have never gotten work off a site other than my own.

That's honestly pretty eye opening. When I used it I loved the process but never had to experience what the developer has to go through. Looks like Freelancer needs to provide better tools to help developers from them losing their money.

I started looking into a site called Fiverr, have you heard of it and what do you think of it?

I've used a freelancer platformer for many different logo projects but used it once for a coding project and will never do it again. Now any coding projects I have, I'll figure out how to do it myself. But with that, I still use Freelancer platforms for creating logos and such. Not really great at creating high quality logos just yet. lol

I have worked under many platforms as a freelance and remote developer. In my opinion, Zelp Platform is the best because we can get the best payment in the market and we can work with exceptional clients.
