JavaScript Hide/unhide fields using a dropdown value

On a PDF form - I have a dropdown field called rating that has values from 1 to 10. If you choose anything 6 or below there are 4 fields that should be made visible. the following is not working correctly/sometimes or at all. The code is on the mousedown on the rating dropdown field. The fields "QtyRow2", "DescriptionRow2", "Unit priceRow2", "999Row1" start in a hidden state with the rating field defaulted to 10.

JavaScript:
var a = this.getField("QtyRow2");
var b = this.getField("DescriptionRow2");
var c = this.getField("Unit priceRow2");
var d = this.getField("999Row1");

if (event.target.value <= 6){
a.display = display.visible;
b.display = display.visible;
c.display = display.visible;
d.display = display.visible;
}

else if (event.target.value > 6){
a.display = display.hidden;
b.display = display.hidden;
c.display = display.hidden;
d.display = display.hidden;
}
