I prefer alternative operating systems, like Ubuntu Touch. I think Android is easier to do that on so maybe Android, but it is not going to be that forever maybe. Also, I prefer iOS by itself to Android, but still, I can hack up Android. Weird right?

Can you please clear up what you mean by "...I can hack up Android"?

I refer yall to my response in this thread:

I mean I can root and install new operating systems on Android. It is completely legal. Installing a new operating system is technically called hacking but it is correct and legal to do.

Grey area. On the one hand, If it's your own phone or if you have permission from the owner to do so, then yes, perfectly legal.

I’m for IOS because I also have an iPad and. Mac. The integration between them makes it more like one big computer in 3 bits that I can carry or use however I wish. (Not to mention my Apple TV)

I have an iPhone and it's been amazing. Recently just switched to the iPhone 11 Pro Max from the 6S+. Completely fantastic experience and I'm glad that I have it instead of an Android. Nothing personal against Androids but the IOS ecosystem is really helpful.

That's great to hear! Enjoy your new iPhone!

The seamless synergy between iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV is unbeatable. Enjoy your tech trio! 📱💻📺😄

I do find Android more customizable though. On rooted devices you can uninstall just about anything. You can also make your own versions of Android as it is open source. Still like iOS and iPadOS better though.

You can pretty much debloat a droid if you know command line and have Android Debug Bridge...makes things easier to uninstall bloat packages

Ah, the classic Android vs. iOS debate! I’ve been on both sides of the fence. I started with iOS and loved how seamlessly everything worked together. But when I switched to Android, I was blown away by the customization options and flexibility.
Ultimately, both systems have their perks. If you love a streamlined experience, iOS might be your jam. If customization and control are more your style, Android could be the way to go. What do you prefer and why?

A funny thing happened when I switched—I was so used to iOS's closed system that I initially struggled with Android’s customization options. But after diving into resources like operatingsystems.info, I learned how to make the most of Android’s features. Now, I appreciate the freedom to tweak my phone exactly how I like it.
