Ruby Do semicolons in Ruby make code significantly slower?

JosiahMaybe

I made a library with semicolons ending all lines that it could. I have found that all web based Ruby runners I found are slower with semicolons if run in mass. ZZZCode.ai says it should run same, but I see a difference. I am trying for most efficient I can get so should I remove all semicolons in that library? X E.

Hi there,
As far as I am aware of, they should be running the same. Can you confirm that you are not running any cpu intensive applications in the background?

I was running on internet based Ruby runners and I am still unsure if since all I tried consistently ran slower with mass of running.
I was only using one application, an internet browser. X E.

Oddly enough, like my installed Ruby on an Ubuntu computer is noticably slower with semicolons than without. Ruby is definitely slower with semicolons on anything as long as you run enough. X E.
