Hello,

i'm learning to create a diagram for a small online store. I will be selling one product, different shapes etc. So far I have 4 entities: customer, product, cart and payment. When I look at other examples, there are many more entities. Will these entities be enough or why would I need more? Can someone please help me with an explanation? Thanks.

Hello,

Your current entities: Customer, Product, Cart, and Payment are a good starting point for the online store, but whether they're enough depends on the complexity of your store. What are you planning on adding?

I decided to stick to three entities for now - customer, product and order. I'll leave the online store for later. I just need something simple to manage orders.

Your four entities—customer, product, cart, and payment—are a good starting point for a simple online store, but whether they’re enough depends on how complex you want your store to be.
