Hello everyone.
I am an old man in coding years. A lifelong hobbyist. I do other things for a living, but have always enjoyed writing my own simple applications to solve my necessary tasks.
I started many moons ago with Macromedia Flash Actionscript 2.0 and have evolved over the years into a fairly decent javascript writer, a pretty competent JQUERY user for sure, as well PHP, and MYSQL.

I have recently decided it was time to learn Node, and have loved it. I am fully immersed in my first wave of SvelteKit tutorials and feel like the developers over there are the first folks who do things the way I naturally always did them! I am optimistic for my future with SvelteKit, although it's complicated at first!

Apologies for the almost year old reply! hahaha. I started dabbling with a little code back in Macromedia Flash with Actionscript 2.0 which is basically when I realized I could learn javascript pretty easily. So around 2003-4 range I think. And I've dabbled with PHP and MYSQL and Javascript ever since on and off.

I've recently poured some hours into Laravel 11 and just wish I had found it years and years ago! It has simplified my projects so much I love it. I just with the SvelteKit projects I already have finished would work with it out of the box without all the inertia/stuff.

And I just don't have the energy to learn vue.js even though it's probably straight forward. So I built my API with laravel and am using my sveltekit SPA to finish this project up.

It's been fun!
