I got to start back in 1978,, my HS had an HP 2000E computer. I went to the University of Texas to get a CS degree and I worked at AT&T, The Travelers and GE.

So all in all I've been programming for about 42 years.

Oh wow a very long time, any advice for the new developers out there?

Oh wow a very long time, any advice for the new developers out there?

Wow.. The only good advice I have is to get a solid background from either a 2 year or 4 year college, it pays off in the long run.

That and program as much as you can and don't forget to work on your logic/analysis skills
