Hi there,
It depends on what you are all looking to do and have on your site. Great way to tell what is needed:
List off features and functionality that will be essential to your site. Then once those are listed, look for the language you want to build it on, aside from html,css,javascript (these are the default for any site). Once you know what language you want to use, then find tutorials on how to do what you need and want. Feel free to post questions you may have or if you get stuck, feel free to post about the issue, and add your code so that the community can look at it and help out 🙂
