Okay so how many of you back up your devices? Of those people, how many of you could fully restore everything on your computer somehow? Counting cloud, USB, and just in general if you could do it with your current backup solution or solutions. I understand some devices do not allow system files some but like with Windows there is system image, Android there are debugger hacks, iOS you can sync with a Mac, etc.. Backups are essential for ensuring you have your data in like my opinion. I like myself have had backups and lost stuff so if you do not have backups, get one or more, preferably two or more per each device as one can fail. Also, how do you do backup and what do you back up? Who are you trusting with your backup?

Main question:
How many full backups do you have?

Secondary question:
How do you have that?

Other questions:
What do you back up?
How do you back up?
Who do you trust with your backup?

Maybe this will keep people from losing data some and if so, yay you. X E.

I have like my Ubuntu Touch tablet data on a separate computer so technically one but I do have partial USB backup of like all like my computers. Just important stuff backed up. I use straight file transfer protocols currently but may be with more soon as I plan to do full backups of all like my computers. I do not use cloud backup much. I guess I just trust me with data backups. X E.

2 iPads and 2 iPhones backed up twice (iCloud and local Mac)
Mac backed up on an external drive, plus on a hidden NAS both as a TimeMachine archive and a simple copy via CCC. But all important files are on the iCloud Drive, therefore also backed up on iCloud.
No, I’m not paranoid… they really are out to get me.

Good for you. You are protected. X E.

Got a desktop that I use as an offline storage server where I store monthly backups of important files from 2 laptops running windows which also run WSL, 1 running Parrot Security OS, 4 android phones.
