I live in Texas so that opening shouldn't be a surprise

I'm 81 yo, retired for 20 years, and a long time IT professional starting back in the '60s. I wrote my first mainframe program in '65 or '66 but lost touch with code as I progressed in my career. I did create a web page for my high school class about 2010 using HTML, CSS, etc. It is no longer hosted because interest in it waned. I now want to create a personal web page, primarily for family use. As often happens, it might morph into something else. I really need to relearn the basics because whatever skills I had are mighty rusty.

If I've found a place that doesn't want to be held back by bad questions from newbies - not matter how old they might be - let me know and I'll just hang about in the shadows. If you're up to helping an ancient newbie, then I'll wear you out.

Good to be here.

Hey there,
Welcome to the Forum 🙂 Glad to have a seasoned professional amongst the us. No worries on the questions, as a wise man once said: "The only bad question, is the one that has not been asked." With that said, feel free to ask away. There's usually always someone online at any given time so, questions may get answered fairly quickly, depending on whether or not the person/people online have some knowledge about a particular question. Otherwise, give it an hour or two 🙂.
