Java or C#

I need to pick one and learn, make a portfolio! I hear people saying Java is still what all big corps use so learn Java, or C# is rising and Java is falling so learn C#. I just have no idea who to listen to, what the truth is. What would you learn if you have to choose one language?

If I had to pick one, I'd choose Java for its stability and widespread use in big companies, especially in enterprise applications. But C# is also a solid choice, especially for Windows and game development. Either will serve you well—focus on what interests you most and go deep!

I do not see reason to pick just one of them They are so close each other, that you can easily move on with both.

Hi there,
As someone who came from an education founded on Java and works with C#, I can tell you if you can learn one, you can quickly pick up the other one. They are fairly similar with it comes to syntax. As far as which to choose? That is a very loaded question lol. Best advice I can personally give:
* 1) Look at your local market and surrounding areas, and see which of the two is more prevalent.
2) Take your own interests into consideration
