JavaScript Typescript in Projects

Being a type-checking OOP language, Typescript does wonders in its own ecosystem. But what good does that do me when, after the code has been compiled to JS, all that heavy lifting is lost?

I saw the same question posted on another website, but all responses only dealt with the features of TS, which I'm fairly well acquainted with. What I'm looking for is a scenario that clearly shows the advantages of using TS instead of JS.

The similarities and differences are pretty well summed up here .
TS is basically JS with the added features of OOP and strong type checking. As I understand it, it does not have its own ecosystem, not does it do any heavy lifting.
