Video Game Theory and Ideas

I think the Video Game industry is an interesting discussion. There's lots of controversy and excitement. Game developers are always looking for the new idea and the economy has a battle to keep Video Games from taking over workers' lives.

This creates a lot of opportunity to innovate.

Share your theories and ideas on the Video Game industry from your professional background.

For shooting games I think Overwatch is on the cutting edge of innovation. I think there's a lot of opportunity for some weird A.I. programming on the other hand. It's like with websites and the cookies. Now A.I. can gather data and also be designed in a way to influence on a more impactful level as movies and advertising has in the past. Lot's of people still don't realize the potential and power in this. I think paladins is a more fair representation on A.I. uses.

For shooting games an idea I have is to have targets around the map that can be targeted to supply ammo. This will eliminate unlimited ammo and give a second level of skill to just running the map and shooting the first thing that moves. There could also be A.I. robots that spawn that can provide the same thing.

I think both approaches have their pros and cons. Overwatch's AI can be more impressive because the enemy characters can behave more realistically. However, Paladin AI can be more useful to players because supportive characters can give them the support they need.

As for your idea of targets on the map that can be attacked for ammo, I think that's an interesting approach. It would add an extra layer of strategy to the game, as players would have to decide whether to attack the targets to get ammo, or just keep running and shooting. I think it would be especially useful in Apex Legends, since that game has a limited amount of ammo.

Here are some other ideas for using AI in Apex Legends
 • AI-controlled drones that can explore the map and find supply caches.
 • AI-controlled turrets that can provide cover for players.
 • AI-controlled bots that can attack enemies.
I think artificial intelligence has a lot of potential to improve Apex Legends. I hope the game's developers will continue to experiment with AI in the future.

a little off topic, but when I was scrolling through google, I saw an ad for a boost for my favorite game (btw it`s Apex Legend), I'm talking about this site. And I came to ask you here, because I don't know where else to ask...
Has anyone ever used such services, do you have any pitfalls or tips? because there is a lot of work, and I really want to level up my characters...

Hey there,
Sorry I am late to the party lol, but as with any advice you will hear from any and all caring mods/admins on either Discord servers or forums, do be careful and mindful of the links you decide to click on. Figure out whether these sites are reputable and legit, easier said than done nowadays lol, but one of the things I consider pitfalls, very dangerous pitfalls, are the security risks and vulnerabilities that come with said sites. Some of these sites are intended to entice users to click on them in order to either get ahold of your account information to be able to compromise your account (phishing), or get you to install something on your system in order to compromise your own machine. If you ever feel uncertain about something, whether it's a link or a piece of software someone wants you to install, feel free to reach out to me and I will gladly provide you with the tools I use to scan and cross reference them against known malicious links and code, as well as take you step by step in making sure you stay safe online 🙂

Oh, you're absolutely right! The video game industry is a rollercoaster of controversy, excitement, and innovation. It's a space where creators are constantly striving to push the boundaries, and players are always hungry for the next big thing. And you hit the nail on the head about the balance between gaming and real life – it's a challenge that's always in the spotlight. I've been a die-hard fan of Counter-Strike for ages. Recently, though, I stumbled upon the CS2 skin market, and it's been a revelation. It's like discovering a whole new layer to the game I thought I knew inside out. It's incredible how a simple change in aesthetics can add so much excitement and variety.

In the rapidly evolving world of video games, innovation is key to survival and success. Game developers must constantly push the boundaries of creativity and technology to engage and captivate players. The industry is also facing a number of challenges, such as the rise of mobile gaming and the growing popularity of esports.
What about a video game front end that drove things like calculations that forwarded science.

One thing that stands out to me is how games are shifting towards more immersive experiences, especially with VR and open-world design. It creates more opportunities for storytelling, but it also blurs the line between entertainment and how much time people invest in these virtual worlds.

Developers should really focus on making games that are fun and keep us from getting too obsessed. We need a chill gaming vibe where we can enjoy it without it taking over.

By the way, I found dope site. They’ve got some sick cheats and tools that are super safe. Their stuff can seriously level up your gameplay without putting your account at risk. If you're down to step up your game, find them here.

I think they have gone to far, its now pay to play, none stop competition. im not old but i miss the old days where you would play a game to have fun not compete or a simple happy game, it dosent feel the same any more.

Let me say something to this too, even though I haven't been interested in playing for years.

The last game I've played for real was Unreal Tournament from 1999. And it was played a lot. Our clan was probably in the eighth place in the World Ranking at one point.

But of course it must be taken into account that at that time the number of people playing on the internet was maybe 0.5% of how many players there are today.

I don't like overly realistic graphics, I don't think it leaves anything to the player's imagination. Since most of my gaming experiences are from the 80s, I grew up with graphics that really required imagination. I'm no stranger to text games either, and IFArchive is quite a familiar place to visit.

I think having artificial intelligence as a significant part of the experience is a great thing. The dynamism and interactivity of the game can change in a way that we may not even be aware of.

I have tested a little how Llama-3 copes as an "interpreter" of a text game. In other words, the user's freedom to write changes radically when the artificial intelligence knows how to interpret the user's request and turn it into tokens understood by the game program.

[game]
You are in a room with blah blah blah...
[/game]

I look under the bed.
#or
Hey, whats under the bed?

[AI]
[tokens, "examine", "bed"]
[/AI]

After all, it seems like a pretty easy process to teach AI to do this. However, you need to know exactly what tokens etc. are in the game before you start.
