Website Source Data

To start, I am not a coder and barely know enough lingo to get in trouble.

I am actually a e-seller and was wanting to know if it is possible to "hide" UPC codes from the source data on a major e-commerce site.
The UPC codes are required to list, but other sellers that don't want to take the time to learn why it's not a good idea to openly compete, will simply scrape the UPC code and list with me. This always means tanking the listing.

Someone told me that they figured out a way to conceal the UPC from the source data, so that there is no opportunity for competition and by default, no tanking of the listing.
I don't know enough about coding to know if this is realistic or just him being bored and making stuff up.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Hey and welcome. So lets first start by saying yes you can hide the UPC just simply don't add it into the code. It would be helpful to know who you use of even your site then i can look at helping you hide it more :D

I appreciate the quick response.
The website does not belong to me, it's Walmart.
