Python Helping someone with a pygame project

I've been helping someone with their project and decided to give it my own touch by using classes and implementing a scoring system for the game among other things. Anyhow I've seem to hit a snag. I'm using pygame's collide group to detect collision and for some reason it will collide even if...

Python I don't know why my widgets are overlapping, can you help me out?

This example is what I came up with understanding your code as best as I could. This uses the ttkthemes module that can be downloaded using pip. import tkinter as tk from tkinter import ttk import ttkthemes class Window: ''' Window class handles display ''' def __init__(self, parent)...

Python I don't know why my widgets are overlapping, can you help me out?

Please use bbtags when posting code as it will be easier to hold formatting. I would recommend using a grid instead of place. Usually bad practice to use global. I tried to get your code to run but there are way too many errors. Perhaps you can post an image of what the widget looks like.

Python [Flask] How to programmatically terminate a Flask app ?

I don't think you understand how flask works. Flask runs on a web server such as apache or nginx. You should do a little reseach. If all you want is to create a pdf and returning/save it, you should look at gui's such as tkinter, pyside, wxpython or one of the others.

Python Made a script that can create notes, read and delete notes. (also create folders)

Although far from being complete, I took your project to another step. Created a gui. Here is what I have as of now. Changed code to use ttk.Treeview instead of tk.Listbox. Have a little more controll over formatting. Todo: Create toplevel window to enter category name writing the code to...

Python Made a script that can create notes, read and delete notes. (also create folders)

Nice script. Think I would look at making the folders a category and writing the notes in a category. Use a json file to hold the structure for easy viewing. Just a thought.

Version 2 of my weather app.

This version should work world wide. May have some bugs when it comes to the wind direction arrow. I've tried testing it and the rain. To try it create a virtual environment and use pip to run the requirements.txt to install needed modules. You can download the zip file from my-python to get...

When I first started I bought a book on python but, was a couple years later before I actually used it. Then is was just for references. Most of my learning came from forums and picking a simple project to work on. I started learning about variables and scope. Moved on to loops and functions...
