CSS Sidebar CSS not working on desktop devices

If you want the arrows there all the time, remove the media query completely. Otherwise, what exactly are you trying to achieve?

CSS Sidebar CSS not working on desktop devices

OK, sorry. I see what you are referring to in your question. The css, when you inspect the arrow-links on mobile, is wrapped in a media query of: @media only screen and (max-width: 480px) So, therefore, once you pass that max-width size, the styles are no longer applied.

CSS Sidebar CSS not working on desktop devices

What exactly isn't working on desktop? Edit: If I hit your link in Firefox, I see what matches your screengrabs and appears to work fine however if I use an emulator (BrowserStack) I see no navigation at all. Also in the cases of no nav, the URL was changes to include ?amp=1 Maybe your issue...

Editing my CSS for single navbar- want it chopped off at sides

You don't have a lot of links in the nav so you could use: .topnavmail a:nth-of-type(1):hover{ color: red; } .topnavmail a:nth-of-type(2):hover{ color: pink; } and so on. You might need to adjust this selector if there is structure between .topnavmail and the <a> such as if your nav...

    Theoretical layout discussion

Just in case someone comes across this, I was able to achieve this layout using CSS Grid and 'C' was aligned to the bottom of 'B B B' with align-self:self-end; on desktop.

    Hover feature img disabling

This shouldn't happen unless there is an <a> wrapping the images. Without a link, it's really hard to pin down the issue. I may be unclear as to what you are actually trying to ultimately achieve.

    Hover feature img disabling

This sounds odd. You may have a hover rule on a parent element somewhere causing all siblings to get the underline.

Page displaying differently in DEV and live

Looks like maybe CSS is cached or not updated to reflect changes

My footer is a half page when window size changed.

Along with @Johna's suggestion, I usually add a wrapper around the whole page set to display:flex flex-direction:column and add margin-top: auto to the footer to push the footer to the bottom of the page. This avoids odd short pages.

    Navbar Niggles

Something is obviously taking up more space then you are allowing for. Margins might be peeking out of container heights, etc. Your overflow:auto is allowing that to scroll (I assume) to accommodate the additional height needed by the content. You can track down the culprit with the inspector or...

    CSS Adding text to border

If the text doesn't need to be changed, you could use border image, putting the text in the image. I've not used border image a lot, if at all, and seems a bit finicky. https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/CSS/border-image @Johna's above suggestion is more flexible.

Nav Bar niggles- 2 columns on page

Position sticky is tricky. The element is 'stuck' in relation to it's parent container, so the sticky item should be a direct child and there needs to be enough content to allow it to actually stick while scrolling. May need position:relative on parent.

    HTML & CSS Scaling issue

Still sounds like there is something effecting that root font size. Did you confirm there isn't anything else effecting that? Any third-party css?

    HTML & CSS Scaling issue

Is everything really zoomed - images, etc, - or is it just fonts scaled up? Do you have a default font-size set on the html/body?

Answered Can a hyperlink inside an iframe manipulate separate iframe outside of it?

Interesting. This works as long as you have access to the contents of the iframe (source code) and can edit it. Re-reading the original question it seems the OP has at least access to the calendar so as to control the href of the date links. As I read the rest of the original question, I...

Answered Can a hyperlink inside an iframe manipulate separate iframe outside of it?

I do not believe an iframe can talk to the host page, let alone another iframe. My suggestion would be to make the html part of the page rather than having iframes.
