Python Find next perfect square not working in python

I think this is what you want. def find_next_square(sq): # Get the square root of sq. square_root = sq ** 0.5 print(f"The square root of {sq} is {square_root}. The type of the variable square_root is {type(square_root)}") n = int(input("Enter an number: ")) find_next_square(n)

    Windows 11

I upgraded to Windows 11 when it came out. It's quite good, except for a few bugs. There's one bug I hate which happens when you close an app through Alt + Tab when it has the flashing amber sign on the taskbar. The icon keeps the amber sign for the rest of the time you're logged on, which is...

Python Expected type 'Sized', got 'int' instead

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood. The user's input is meant to be a string, not an integer. The ' -1 ' part is not meant to be applied onto the string, but rather the length of the string in characters, which is got by doing:len(user_input) # len() means get length

Python Expected type 'Sized', got 'int' instead

Hi. I'm coding a hangman game in Python & I've been getting an error that I can't figure out how to get rid off. Basically, after I take the user's letter, I create a counter that goes from 0 to the length of the word. However, since Python uses the number 0 first, instead of 1, I have to do the...

    Python Beginner loop help!

Like LTomy said, while loops are probably the best way to loop back and repeat instructions. However, you could also use 'goto' labels, but using too many of them may end up in some messy code. To use goto labels you have to run the command 'pip install goto-statement' in your command prompt...

HTML Why I am I Not Seeing My site code in the WYSIWYG Tab in BlueGriffon?

The reason it looks like Chrome is because they are both based on Chromium. What I meant is if you have the site open in a tab in Blisk with auto-update, and keep editing in BlueGriffin, if it automatically updates the site then you can see the changes in real-time in Blisk, just like the...

HTML Why I am I Not Seeing My site code in the WYSIWYG Tab in BlueGriffon?

If the problem persists you could use the Blisk browser which allows auto-refresh of pages. If you hid the Preview in BlueGriffin and have the two windows side by side maybe that could be a solution?

Python Why does this If Else statement not working in Python?

Yes. I'll attach a video of it. If you want to test it yourself I would use the online compiler repl.it.

Python Why does this If Else statement not working in Python?

@RAH S. I tested the code and it works fine even without me changing the while loop

Python Why does this If Else statement not working in Python?

I think this works because you add 1 to 'guesses' before the user has had the guess that that count corresponds to.

Python Why does this If Else statement not working in Python?

Hi @RAH S, Set line 42 to be while guesses != 4, not guesses != 3 and it should work.

Python Why does this If Else statement not working in Python?

Like @ivan.moony said, since there has been a guess before this variable was set, it needs to be equal to 1. It is most likely a problem with how and when 'You did not get it in time and will be sent to the darklands' is displayed on the console, so if you could send that part of the code which...
