HTML & CSS Image Carousel Help

Hey guys! I am trying to make an image carousel to put on my personal website and immediately noticed that the images would drastically change in size. Is there a good set of standards when it comes to the dimensions of images used in a carousel? Is there a standard in the size of the carousel...

HTML & CSS any tips to display better on phones

If you are familiar with Bootstrap, you could try putting everything into a container and applying column spacing for each breakpoint. Like this: <div class="container"> <div class="item, col-lg-12, col-md-6, col-sm-2"> </div> </div> These links will help you better understand how that...

    Hello everyone..

Welcome to the Code Forum family! I myself really only know HTML and CSS, trying to get a better grasp on JS (having a hard time with the syntax and whatnot) but and also taking a Udemy course for Full Stack development to help get a better understanding of the backend languages and purposes...

    Hi,

Alternatively, you can also use a <ul> tag to create an unordered list rather than an <ol> tag (bullet points or squares instead of numbers)

    Losing Hope

Alright guys, it's been about 2 months since I've done any coding. I've completely lost interest in web development and have decided I want to focus more on the creative/artistic side of things. I'd like to try my hand at video game design/development, but don't really have a clue where to...

    Confused about career

I'm with @simong1993 and @HadASpook... The only thing I'm gonna add is this: Don't let the idea of programming or coding being too hard discourage you. I started out learning front-end web development back in February of this year. I'm still learning JavaScript now, but I also have a Udemy.com...

    HTML intro to html

Are you looking to start an Intro to HTML thread? If so, lot's of members would help contribute to the page I'm sure. I know I would (: Also, keep in mind that you don't just have a sentence there, you have a header that is already formatted by default to have a larger font size in order to...

HTML & CSS CSS Grid not expanding to full width of available space.

This was the best that I could find at w3school: https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_grid_container.asp From what I read in it, I agree with @OldMan. You should set the grid-template-columns to auto.

    Windows 11

I'm definitely calling BS on quicker response in the system. It has DRASTICALLY slowed my computer! It took 25 minutes for me to open the forums and my VS Code editor. Tempted to save the harddrive and revert back to Windows 10....

HTML & CSS Keeping characters together on one line

Try including the img tag inside of a span tag. So it would look like this: <p> hello world <span style="padding: 0;"><img src="My Files/Survey-3-med.jpg"; width="20px"; alt="Survey Marker 3"></span> more text here to complete paragraph</p> This auto styles the img tag to remain inline with...

    Windows 11

It was a little buggy at first, but ince I finished all the current updates, the biggest difference I've seen has been visual (desktop layout, which isn't too bad I guess) and performance. My computer does actually process requests faster.

looking things up on the internet

Also, if there is specific webpage layout that you like on an existing domain, you can "inspect" the page and it brings up the index.html file and style sheet. This youtube video shows you have to take advantage of the browser dev tool:

looking things up on the internet

While yes, you could copy and paste the code directly into your site, most templates that you can use have an explanation for what the purpose of the code is and how it works. If you are strictly trying to figure out the meaning of a line of code and not wanting to copy someone, check out...

HTML & CSS Headings of Different colours

    @RobertWA Inside @OldMan s reply is a list of colors that have class attributes. Looking at the h2 tags, Oldman put 'class="color"' and then selected the class in the CSS with .color{ color: color;}
