HTML Default value in a regex code

Hello.

I have a MyBB forum and there is a system called MyCode.
There you create custom codes to be used in posts.
Through a code regex it is possible to replace it with an html code.

I got a code that shadows the text when using the tags:
Code: 
[shadow=COLOR]Testing shadow[/shadow]

I can use any color names or codes:
Code: 
[shadow=Blue]Testing shadow[/shadow]

Regex:
Code: 
\[shadow=(.*?)\](.*?)\[/shadow\]
Replacement:
Code: 
<span style="text-shadow: 0px 0px 5px $1;">$2</span>

Match 1: $1 (Shadow color)
Match 2: $2 (Text)

I want to define a default color, if the user does not define any:

For example: [shadow]Testing shadow[/shadow]
Replaced by: [shadow=Gray]Testing shadow[/shadow]

It is possible? can anybody help me?
