  • Guest, before posting your code please take these rules into consideration:
    • It is required to use our BBCode feature to display your code. While within the editor click < / > or >_ and place your code within the BB Code prompt. This helps others with finding a solution by making it easier to read and easier to copy.
    • You can also use markdown to share your code. When using markdown your code will be automatically converted to BBCode. For help with markdown check out the markdown guide.
    • Don't share a wall of code. All we want is the problem area, the code related to your issue.

JavaScript Never coded before

Hi there
I have never coded before
I am looking for advice on how to start to learn
I hope there is a ton of help in here

Thanks

JavaScript or just coding in general? If it's the latter, the best way to start is by looking through tutorials on YouTube. Cliche, but it really does help.

So, let's catch you up on the basics. These will give you a pretty good idea as to what all of this "stands for".
CSS - The language describing the presentation of Web pages, including color, layout, and fonts.
HTML - The language used to structure a Web page and its content.

And yes, there is a way to review code once you've written it. I recommend the Linux Terminal (https://cocalc.com/doc/terminal.html), since its one I favor and personally adore.

Need more help? There are a number of sites to help you get your boost.
dream.in.code

Happy coding!

Hi there, Welcome to Code Forum!

As @bleachpong mentioned, YouTube, dream.in.code and codeacademy are great resources. You could also use udemy, freecodecamp etc. Again start small, don't overwhelm yourself.

Although not required, I'd recommend learning both HTML and CSS first, then learning JavaScript. But again, that's entirely up to you! :)
