Solved Purpose Of The Github Link?

So I scrolled down to the bottom of CodeForum only to see a Button that links to the Site's Github Page. It has nothing on it just now and I figured that I'd just ask: "What is the purpose of it?"

That's all I'd like to know. Why is there a Github Link in the first place? Is it for Members of CodeForum to put their Projects on?

I'd appreciate any Answer given.
