As you all may know, ebay has now introduced a new payment system ("its not going down well") its a terrible idea and people are leaving. I now think its a perfect time for a group of coders to come togther and build a system better then Ebay and Amazon combined.

Here me out, i want to build a system that has Sellers in mind Not just buyers, i want a system that encourages sellers to do well and we actively look into issues rather then always sideing with the buyers. I want sellers to feel secure and know that we have there intrests at heart and we are not trying to keep the buyers happy even if they are wrong.
I want to allow sellers a fixed price fee structure. My idea was, every sale is charged at 5% with no listing fees. I was to build something thats build by the customers for the customers and not there to line someone pockets.

its a big project and i plan on doing it my self but if i can get a team togther so we could split the work load that would be awsome :D

Just to expand on above, we would need Python programers, this will be for the for gathering intrest.
HTML, CSS, Jquery, PHP, SQL - this would be for making the website and the system.

Im no proffesonal in everything, but ive been thinking about this for a little over a year now and have some cool features to add and i would love to get a team togther of people who want to do the same thing, the same passion and can have a laugh along the way :D

What languages, it sounds fun!!

Its going to be a fun ride thats for sure and if done right we can have fun and make some cash :D

We will need
HTML
PHP
SQL
CSS
JAVA/JQUERY
PYTHON

Without a fail, then its just taking each chunk a bit at a time. Doing everything in stages, testing, next stage, testing the old with the new, new stage etc etc etc

What way are we going to implement python into our website, and what's a easier way of contacting people, discord?

I didn't say implement python into the website but python would be a great way to get people to the website and to add other options i have in mind :)

Discord would be best, Drop me a line if you want :D

Then what would the python files do. And whats your discord id?

This seems like an ambitious but interesting project.

My only concern lies within the focus on sellers. Yes, buyers can be wrong quite a lot of the time, but so can sellers. I think what you should do is try to achieve a balanced system which allows both sides to be treated fairly. If the seller is right, then side with the seller, and vice versa. This is just my idea as I never agree with siding against another side. Although, perhaps there's something amiss for me and I need to re-read it.

I wouldn't mind helping out with this, so feel free to PM me here on CF. May I also suggest updating the original post to include more project-specific details(what technologies will be used, what kind of people you're looking for to join you, etc.) and if you haven't, do a bit more planning on the project as well?

Best of luck.

I think i may need to expand a little bit :) What i mean is at the moment ebay automaticly side with buyers and do not look into the issue. Buyers return wrong items and ebay sides with them, buyer leaves unfair feedback and the seller gets band. I want to build a system thats fair on both sides, that looks into buyers just as much as sellers and dosent just look at the bottom line.

I have a few more ideas to add also that i feel would make this system more ideal then using ebay, i have done quite a bit of planning and mind mapping for the last year but i just thought it would be fun to get some people together with all diffrent backgrounds and work and learn towards a goal :)

Im trying to get a little clan togther on discord, i think it would be easier to chat away and not give away too much information on a public forum :D add me at simong1993

This makes much more sense now, and I'm glad that you're looking to build a fair system for both sides seeing as your original post made more emphasis on sellers.

Understandable. I don't use Discord, however, so I may have to be left out unfortunately. :(

Again, I wish the best of luck.

@simong1993
I can't add you on Discord as you haven't shared your tag number (#0000)
Could you add me? Krygore (#0612)
I'm extremely interested in helping with the creation of this site :)
