Suggestion Putting All RBLXLua And Other Lua Off-Shoot Threads In A Sub-Board

Hey there.

Over on the Lua board, I recently wrote a post regarding the differences between vanilla Lua and all of it's off-shoots - Including RBLXLua(The Lua off-shoot used in the online building-game, ROBLOX).

In my opinion, I think that anything relating to Lua off-shoots(Such as RBLXLua), should be put in a sub-board of the Lua board. This helps differ it from vanilla Lua. The reason I suggest this is because, as stated in that post that I made regarding the differences, Lua off-shoots can differ heavily from vanilla Lua. Off-Shoots will have their own functions that don't exist in vanilla Lua, their own APIs and libraries that aren't available for use in vanilla Lua code, and perhaps even some of it's own keywords. Taking a good look at a Lua off-shoot and then comparing it to vanilla Lua code, will reveal the drastic differences, which gives a very good reason to separate posts about Lua off-shoots into their own sub-board.

Please consider implementing this change to the Lua board(And note that this applies to any other off-shoot of Lua, such as the one used in World Of Warcraft).

Hi there,

Thanks for the suggestion. However due to the low volume of threads within the Lua board, I’ll be keeping it as is. We don’t want to have too many avenues without any content inside of them.

Hey, @Master Yoda.

You're welcome for the suggestion. I can understand that the Lua board isn't as active and that you wouldn't want it to be fragmented, especially with low traffic going to it.

But in the case that the Lua board starts to spark high activity, please keep this suggestion on a notepad or task-list somewhere.

Will definitely consider it once volume with the Lua board increases.
