So, you're looking to create a wiki-type website? What is your background? Are you starting from absolutely no coding experience, or do you have experience in any coding languages?
If you're already experienced in some coding, it would likely be beneficial to use the languages you already know to build your site, whereas if you're completely new you'll have a lot to learn but you'll be able to choose your path forward and choose the languages that you want to learn to build this site.
At a minimum you'll need to know HTML and CSS, as those are the front end building blocks of the web. They control how a site looks to users (the front end). You'll also need to learn at least some Javascript, as that will add interactivity to the site as well as allow you to update site contents dynamically (like updating the content without reloading the page).
For the back end, the part that actually handles storing and outputting the content on the site, I would build it with PHP and MySQL for the database, again because that's what I know. But there are also alternatives like NodeJS and other database options like NoSQL databases you could learn.
Let us know where you're starting from and we'll help you get where you're going. 🙂
