DeepSeek

I don't particularly like Deepseek's terms on their service but it can be run locally with terms I like. Fun stuff, definitely have a look at a service's terms before inputing anything. They intentionally try for "harmless" and no military for some reason, even in their open source stuff. X E.

Can you elaborate?

Actually now that I look it up that thing ratwolf did appears to be against their terms and as per their terms not a thing it should answer for. X E.

I looked up Deepseek on huggingface.co, it is in all terms they distribute with that it is not for military usage. DeepSeek-V3/LICENSE-MODEL at main · deepseek-ai/DeepSeek-V3, Yeah, it is official, not for anything military. https://chat.deepseek.com/downloads/DeepSeek Terms of Use.html, Actually they seem to have removed much I did not like now. I prefer OpenAI because they specifically say outputs are yours, seemingly not as much with Deepseek. X E.
Why would that matter to a civilian whether or not it's allowed to be used by military?

Because it is not answering for anything military, explaining that above picture. X E.
Because a civilian does not need to know anything more than what is already public... If you fail to see why this train of thinking is a big security risk...then I don't know what else to tell you. Now if it's history related, you might need to reword your question
