Global change of text in CSS

Hi everyone,

I am new to CSS but have to learn it for my work. Question: is there a way to implement a global change of one word in CSS? This is for a book formatted in CSS with quite a few sections in both the front matter and back matter, plus about 7 chapters. I want to find and replace a word in all the body texts without having to go through each section, find and replace each one manually.

Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there,
If you are trying to replace a word in the text, unfortunately that cannot be done in css. CSS stands for Cascading Style Sheets...meaning it is used for giving style to the html. What you need is some javascript. A js script that will look for each instance of the targeted word and remove/replace it. Such a script would look a bit like what they suggest here:

This may be a real stupid suggestion, but if you want to change all occurrences of word in a piece of CSS why don't you just do that in your text editor ? Any decent editor can do that across multiple files as well.
