Hello everyone.
I’m trying to calculate my NHS take-home pay using a take home pay calculator nhs, but I’m confused about how the NHS pension scheme affects the final amount. Some calculators ask for pension percentage, while others just estimate it automatically.
Should I manually input the 5–14% contribution depending on my salary band, or is there a standard figure used? Also, does the calculator account for employer contributions or only my deductions?
I want to make sure I’m getting a realistic picture of my monthly income after all deductions, especially pension, tax, and National Insurance contributions.
