PHP How to include PHP but not HTML?

I have a PHP page views counter that I recently added a NOINDEX tag to in its head, now all files that include it by reference to file are NOINDEX according to crawlers, what should I do? Is there a way to tell if a PHP file is included or main thing so my PHP can output that tag maybe?

I found $_SERVER['PHP_SELF'] works for this, if it is /stats/hits.php then output NOINDEX tag, otherwise, just increment hit count. Solved. X E.
