Answered How would i make a for loop generate text side by side instead of in newlines?

For example, normally for loops do text like this:

Code:
for num in 1 2 3 4 5; do
echo "$num"
done

1
2
3
4
5

But what would you need to generate this outcome:
Code:
1 2 3 4 5

Of course. I really don't know why you suggested that ! As I wrote, you need to add the -n flag:

Bash:
for num in 1 2 3 4 5; do
echo -n "$num"
done
I don't know, I was posting through my phone like I am now, I tend to find thinking out loud to be good for creativity even if it's highly erroneous...I realized before I tested it that it's probably just going to put the space in front of it, you could have warned me silly :p
