HTML My image links are (sometimes) directing to the image file

Hi there, I'm making an image-based navigation bar, but most of my links are opening the associated image file instead - however, 'Children's illustration' works fine. Is there any apparent reason?

HTML:
<td>
        <a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/weddings"><img src="../tag4.jpg" alt="Weddings"/></a>
        </td>
        <td>
        <a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/Kids"><img src="../kids2.jpg" alt="Children's illustration"/></a>
        </td>

Hmm, can I see a little more of your HTML?
Of course, here's the rest of that row. The really weird part is that on my first pass, if the page was '/maps', the image name was 'maps.jpg' and the alt text was 'maps'. The browser wanted to show me maps.jpg, it's weird but fair enough. Now, though, I've changed all the filenames, and it's not showing me tag3.jpg - it says it can't find map.jpg. There is *no* reference to maps.jpg anywhere in the html and I deleted each example of the file from my ftp and it still wants to see it and honestly I don't know if I need technical advice or a priest. Also, that workshop page at the end there? It doesn't display any of the link images. Not one. Every other page, with the exact same code, at least loads the nav bar once I get there, but the workshop isn't having it. Utterly confused here.

HTML:
<tr>
<td>
<a href="http://ryansthomason.com/calligraphy/"><img src="../tag1.jpg" alt="calligraphy link"/></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/illustration/"><img src="../tag2.jpg" alt="illustration link"/></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/maps/"><img src="../tag3.jpg" alt="maps link"/></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/weddings/"><img src="../tag4.jpg" alt="weddings link"/></a>
</td>
<td>
<a href="http://www.ryansthomason.com/kids/"><img src="../kids2.jpg" alt="children's illustration link"/></a>
</td>
