New to react - How to?

The Raven

Coder
Hello there, I am new to react = I want to start learning it, however, I have no idea how to start and use it locally. Of course I can take a look on youtube some tutorials but most of them are kind a few years old. What am I supposed to do to make a start and after that, I will get the hang of it.

Solution
Hi there,
I think the easiest way to start using react is with create-react-app.

If you have npm installed run npx create-react-app app-name in the terminal and a react app will be created. If you don't have npm installed yet, you will need to install this with node.js here (or another package manager such as yarn).
After creating your react app, you will need to go into the directory (cd app-name) and then you can start the react app with npm start. The react app should now be running on the 3000 port on localhost (http://localhost:3000).

You should now have react set up and running on a local server, and you can check the create-react-app and react docs that will explain in depth...

Good luck with learning react and feel free to ask a question here if you run into any trouble.
