Node.JS Noob - Running my app displays the actual code of the page, not the rendering

Hi, I'm new to node.js. I created an express site and am doing some initial tests. When I run my app and then try to pull up my hello.js page, it actually renders the exact code on the page from my browser, rather than the processed code. What am I doing wrong? If I go to my root localhost:3000 it pulls up my hello world res.send, but if I go directly to localhost:3000/hello.js it just shows the code....

Yes it does. What had you expected it to to do ? You cannot directly execute a js script via an URL.
