No. But you'll need to explain what exactly you mean with 'sending' and 'STRING ARRAY of BYTES'. The devil is in the details !

I'm using a PIC to program an M8N Ublox GPS using SPI.
There is also U-center which is a Ublox program that can program these gps, and I've intercepted the progamming messages using a data anlyser, and STRINGs of BYTEs are used.
I've copied these and received some from the Ublox forum, too. These are what I'm trying to use.
e,g, Chr(01h) + Chr(02h) + Chr(00h) + Chr(f0h) + Chr(04h) + Chr(fdh) + Chr(15h) + CrLf [which is Oshonsoft Basic]

Terminology : A string is a null-terminated array of characters, typically used for printable text. A byte array is an array (without a terminator) or arbitrary byte values. Plain old C does not really care about whether you use characters or bytes (both being 8-bits types) but higher level languages like C++ and C# (the "other" C's ?) do. From your data sample it follows that you should use an array of bytes. These are "sent" as-is, without any decoration, packing of formatting.
