Proposed Moderation Policies:
Code Forum Staff & Moderation Policies
Created on June 06, 2019 by Malcolm, Modified X.
This document is to ensure that Code Forum remains transparent with moderation of the Code Forum community. And helps ensure that there is no abuse caused from staffing towards members and other staff. All policies written in this document are to be followed by all staff, no matter what the role may be: Moderator, Administrator and or any other role. In addition to these policies, staff members must obey Code Forum Rules & Guidelines.
Any individual whom breaches any of these policies may be subjected removal of role and penalized. All policies that are mentioned below, are ones that were presented to the community and agreed upon.
General Moderation:
All staff members are responsible for moderating the community forums; which may include spam, wrong section posting and or violations to site rules & guidelines. If you spot anything that may go against the way of Code Forum, you are to report it “See something, say something”. From there, moderators will take the appropriate action; if, however, the violation extends out of the reach of the moderator. You will need to bring your findings to an administrator.
If you are not sure, ask an administrator.
Staff Policies:
All members (including staff roles) are subjected to CodeForum.ORG’s Terms & Rules. Upon being hired at CodeForum for any selected role, that member is subjected to a 3-month probation period. During the 3-month probation, the member will undergo training to ensure that the member is doing their job properly and completing task within a timely matter and will be supervised by their role team leader and or an administrator for the duration of probation. Once 3-months has passed and if the member was successful during training then they will no longer need supervision and can be given their duties to work on their own. If the member fails 3-month probation then member’s staff privileges will be revoked. The member will be able to reapply for any staff position after 1 month(s).
