  • Guest, before posting your code please take these rules into consideration:
    • It is required to use our BBCode feature to display your code. While within the editor click < / > or >_ and place your code within the BB Code prompt. This helps others with finding a solution by making it easier to read and easier to copy.
    • You can also use markdown to share your code. When using markdown your code will be automatically converted to BBCode. For help with markdown check out the markdown guide.
    • Don't share a wall of code. All we want is the problem area, the code related to your issue.

GIF shows where to locate </> in the thread and or post editor toolbar.
To learn more about how to use our BBCode feature, review our "How to post your code into threads" here.

    Thank you, Code Forum.

Python Check if two strings are anagrams (video)

Since you asked ! If you just want feedback on your YouTube skills, you'd be better off doing that on YouTube itself or some related forum. For the coders here I guess this holds little or no interest. If something is lavishly explained on a website there seems no point in grabbing that and make it into a video. Cute music though 🎶🎷

1) You have a point in that commentary would enhance the quality of the video. I agree with that.

2) I've actually debated with myself on whether or not including my google searches in the video is a good idea. I wanted to present a realistic look into the process of coding as 'looking things up' is often most of the work. Most youtubers would present an unrealistic view on the process with them solving a problem in 5 seconds.

In my view, it isn't enough to just present the solution. It's equally (or more) beneficial to show how I arrived at the solution.

I did not suggest that adding commentary would improve the video. What you were doing was clear and easy to follow enough without the "Hey guys ! Today I am gonna show you blah blah blah ... and please subscribe to my channel" blurb 😁 If you think there is a niche for videos including all the mistakes and google searches, then this was a good effort. But perhaps you need an original subject, not just copy something that has been explained in detail elsewhere.

After one minute of pointless music and text that was hard to read, and no idea how what I was seeing related to anagrams I called it quits. You don't need a video to demonstrate (poorly) that which can be explained with four lines of code and two lines of text.

Yeah, my point exactly. Except I found the music (while admittedly pointless) sort of cute 🙂
