What Is
Used For In HTML?

So I recently started learning how to code in HTML so I can start making websites. The website I am using to learn mentions the element
. The website said it was an empty element that has nothing in it, but what is it actually used for? I recently saw something about a Break Point so is that what
is? If
is a Break Point then what are they used for? Based on the name I assume it is used to leave a space in between the code? Like if we were to have 2 paragraphs that we wanted separated, we would use
?

HI there,
A
is used as a new line break, to break up text. Think of it as hitting the "enter" key
