Adding the reg unicode character to an image

Hi, i have a paypal image and i want to add the registered unicode character to the image via css (i dont want to mess with editing the image in photoshop). I think i can use css before or after to do so but its not working and i forgot how its done.

Here is my code so far, what did i mess up lol 🙂

    margin-top: 1em;
    width: 13vw;
    height: 3vw;
    box-shadow: 1px 2px;
    padding-left: 2em;
}

#ppimage:before {
    content: "\000AE";
}

i was going to include the paypal image here but you dont allow .svg images for some reason 🙂

Hi @durangod,
The ::before and ::after psuedo-elements can't be used on replaced elements, which the img element is.

What you could do instead is place the image in a container element, and use ::before or ::after on that parent element.
