Can anyone tell me about IOTs?

[Ryn]

I'm doing a bit of research for a class and I'm a bit confused on the extent of what an IOT system can actually do. If anyone can tell me a bit more about them please let me know.

from my understanding is if it can connect to the internet and be controlled its a IOT 🙂 Like my smart bulb, i gave my wife the logins and she likes to turn the room into a disco or the Hive thermostats would be a IOT system

, the Internet of Things represents a transformative shift in how we interact with technology across various domains. Its ability to connect devices seamlessly offers significant benefits but also necessitates careful consideration of security and privacy issues.😊

IoT systems connect devices to the internet, enabling them to collect, share, and act on data. They can automate tasks, improve efficiency, and provide real-time insights, which are useful in everything from smart homes to healthcare and industrial automation.
