  • Guest, before posting your code please take these rules into consideration:
    • It is required to use our BBCode feature to display your code. While within the editor click < / > or >_ and place your code within the BB Code prompt. This helps others with finding a solution by making it easier to read and easier to copy.
    • You can also use markdown to share your code. When using markdown your code will be automatically converted to BBCode. For help with markdown check out the markdown guide.
    • Don't share a wall of code. All we want is the problem area, the code related to your issue.

GIF shows where to locate </> in the thread and or post editor toolbar.
To learn more about how to use our BBCode feature, review our "How to post your code into threads" here.

    Thank you, Code Forum.

JavaScript Can someone help me get started with this API?

I am trying to figure out how to get started. I have been provided crash data from a potential employer and they want me to display it on a map.

This is what they said:
For this exercise we’ve put together a small publicly available API that contains some traffic crash data for our County. We’d like you to put together a small web page the consumes this data.

At minimum, the page should do the following
  • Display the crash data as points on a web map.
  • Be able to filter the points
  • Be able to show some information about the data in the form of a graph, table, etc.
Currently, I have google maps running on https://dudethatserin.com (a spare domain I have) and I understand how to get the information from the API based on the link that they provided (redacted here for privacy). I just don't know how to go from URL-OF-API.com or JSON File Containing Data to displaying it on a webpage...

If someone could help me get to that point, I can go from there.
