Do you use GitHub to host your projects?

Hello Coders!

I'm using GitHub for hosting some of my projects, and was wondering if you guys used it too?

I like that fact that I can work on it pretty much on any computer; and that it's really easy to use - clone files, make changes and upload it. That's pretty much it. I currently have GitHub Pro but might cancel it considering that GitHub recently gave basic users the ability to have private repositories.

Whenever I begin a new Project, it starts on my Computer and stays, on my Computer. And if I plan for it to be Free and Open-Source then I work on it till it has had some work done on it. Then people can build off of what I built.

Is that because it’s not private ? Because GitHub offers free private repositories now.

I share a few scripts and things I have made, but don't really use Git to it's full capabilities. People could obviously fork my projects or submit commits, but so far nobody has touched my repositories. Some code is in use in a few projects, but only because I decided to use my code in those projects bot because someone asked.

Yeah, I am aware that GitHub now lets you have Private-Repositories for free now. But I still prefer to keep everything local, on my PC until it's in a state in which I'm like: Okay, I'm ready to make it Open-Source and have other people contribute to it.

Yeah of course! I’m always worried about my computer drying I guess!

How many repos do you currently have on GitHub?
