Node.JS Help on Nodejs websocket server

I am working on web-socket server using Nodejs, users are connecting to web-socket server using encrypted token id, the token has time validity and once the client connected the token will be decrypted and each web-client is identified by their id, the Web-socket server has an HTTP API as well where other script will push JSON data through Web-socket API to font-end Web-Clients and the server will push the JSON data to web-client by matching their id, if there was no web-client registered to web-socket and the server received any API JSON data that specific id for the client that its not available it will drop the message. If the web-client is available it will push and will not keep the message.

The issue is with web-client HTML web page refresh, when the web-client refresh the page the received data is lost. I need your recommendation how can i save this data through server for any client during thier active session,any time web-client refresh the page, the server should push again the last/recent pushed data to that specific web-client, I need your help to guide me with best way and how can i achieve this.

Hi.

1. Save the last sent data in memory database or as simple JS object in memory. This is if you dont expect high loads.
When reconnect, check if there’s stored data for the client and push it back.

2. Use local storage or session storage in browser to keep the last received data and retrieve it on page reload.
