In my opinion, India's transition from being seen as an "affordable" option to a "gambler" in the global market is undoubtedly a positive development.
The amount of so-called "brain work" will increase, and thanks to our interconnected world, much of this work can be done remotely.
From what I understand, the quality of Indian colleges has been continuously improving. There are no longer just "affordable" Indian graduates with "adequate studies" on paper; Indian institutions now produce qualified and exceptionally talented students.
This not only adds much needed brainpower to the global market but also positively impacts living standards in India.
At the same time, I believe this shift shakes up traditional structures and serves as a reminder to established areas of intellectual work, like Silicon Valley, that stagnation is not an option; otherwise, they risk being outpaced.
So, from a short hymn to a grand one: India's significance in the market is on the rise, and for this reason, it is indeed a good thing.
But as you enjoy this rising tide, remember that every wave eventually returns to the sea, and on another shore, another wave is just beginning to rise.
Cheers to India!
