CSS How to achieve this

I need the text to be full center on of the container but have an angle cut across the image to try give an abstract view of it.

Was thinking about after and 'after' pseudo element positioned there so here's were I got up to if anyone is able to help

On your .color element, add CSS of transform: skew(-45deg); and then on your after element give it a style of display: block;. That should get you pretty close to what you want, then you just need to adjust the position of the after element.
