New social media tips?

Considering starting an audio video social media, what do you want in it? Yes it will have the basics like security, SSL, and running it on a desktop with a GPU with Ubuntu server, mail separate server but exists, any tips to scale this?

My ideas are short term retention, follows with notice options, advanced search, and the algorithm is just a search you enter or randomness, you get your own folders to organize, scribble crate in Rust for subtitles, all built in Rust, and like a folder with data in it for each thing, maybe long term retention some, and download anything, any advice? Of course make money too, like cookieless first party ads that even ad blockers can't block, premium plan to remove that, sign in, the only cookies will be login stuff or legally required, any gotchas for international? Should I make it 2 people video audio to each other with recording? Maybe organize it by languages?

If all goes well, might be getting my own Linux server much later or multiple, another note, using a 4TB external SSD because small internal space, but USB 3 so why not? Also using business internet with cheap RJ-45 cabling, should have Internet about as fast as it can read, the GPU is important for scribble Rust and for setup, use a TV and spare keyboard, maybe a mouse, setup includes Ubuntu server, Ubuntu laptop mail server (my code PC), CyberPanel, Caddy web server, iredmail, free mariaDB, Malware Scanner and Security Firewall at an Affordable Price, maybe bunny.net volume plan CDN, Rust binaries for Linux probably with axum, specifically 24.04 LTS Ubuntu, yes I can use my code PC as a desktop AND server at the same time with no issue, Rust and most else does not care about OS so I can switch to something like Puri.sm server later, just as long as it is Linux and hey, both Debian like, anything I am missing?

I just realized, normal social medias require exabytes, I don't have that, 4TB for a million is like 4MB each or like one video, I guess text+links only starting, still could use advice how to scale, for example X generates 14TB+ a day, well, more to learn and more to do, still Rust templating, anything else? Also, no I don't want to use a platform, terms and such. X E.

For the social media I think do like democratic republic, like each user has a chance of their content being chosen and can allocate it as desired, they can add or subtract from the weight other people have down to a floor of 1 unit of influence and can also add or subtract from how much weight others have, basically giving them elected power to influence the algorithm or opposite of elected power by group decision. Does that sound like a good system? No platform does this yet. Close but the way I am thinking may be like scale from 0 to +-number, maybe 2, start at mid level. I know if I get a million users+ I will need any sized numbers. Why not just start at a predefined number, say 100, floor influence of 1, have residual down votes to cancel if up votes happen? No negative influence on influence so maybe that for vote influence too? X E.
