Hey there.

I've recently began using WampServer and I've got a quick question about exiting the Program. It's that when I right-click on the WampServer Icon in the System-Tray and click exit, does it fully exit the Program and kill all processes or do I need to use some sort of Command to fully kill-off the Program.

Thanks.

I just tried this with XAMPP (Windows), turned on all services (Apache, MySQL) then fully closed it. However, it did not shut down services. I believe you'll have to do this manually through XAMPP. But then again I was using XAMPP not WAMP. Could potentially be the same.

I think the way to stop the Services is by doing:
  • Win + R
  • Type in services.msc
  • Look for anything beginning with 'wamp' or whatever yours might be

That's what I do. I'm just curious if it's still running after I exit(Although, I doubt it is).

Turned off my computer last night and went this morning I tried seeing it was still running. I opened up my browser and went to localhost and a site popped up, I also checked the background running apps and didn't see it. So you do have to stop all services.
