Switching from Dev to QA

New Coder
Hye everyone! So this is going to be a bit long! Please bear it! Senior dev and QA are requested to respond to this specifically. I am a slow learner naturally. I take time to digest complex things. Because of this , I am also lagging as a programmer as compared with my fellow colleagues. I failed data structure, Oop lab and assembly language during my degree. I passed with a cgpa of 2.8/4.0. Started working in a well reputed company as an Associate Software engineer. These guys trained me for three months on suite crm. After that they gave me some tasks to complete which I failed to do. Then they changed my project. The new project has tasks related to the front end which were considered easy for them. Still i was struggling in them. Its been 2 months since I have actually stared hands on coding on the front end and debugging things myself. So total 6 tasks have been given yet and my performance was:
4 tasks : 50% completed (Late submission)
2 tasks : 100% completed (Late submission)
I am not enjoying here tbh. I could have definitely enjoyed if I was a fast learner and was good in programming. So my team lead do get upset when I am not able to complete tasks on time. I like coding only when I am doing small projects from scratch and things are not complex. As the number of lines of code increases and I have to debug someone else code, my brain gives up. This is happening on daily basis. I think this won't work out. Also I get scared when I put myself in the next 4-5 years where juniors engineers would be bringing weird kind of problems to debug and resolve. I don't think I am that technically strong to tackle that.
For those who say: "You can do it, work hard" :

Current thoughts: This is why I am thinking to switch to a QA job! For 1 year I would do manual testing and then start building my skills on automation. I cannot bring my ego into this(No! I will become a dev. Devs are highly paid and bla bla bla) . I know my caliber and I think Qa would be fine to have good work life balance.
