hi, guys
I'd like to share a useful trick for those engaged in web-design activities or trying their hand at it, who might be concerned.
Now, the problem is as follows:
To grow my site, I have to add some content to it. The content I have is in the doc/docx format. There are a bunch of online converters offering to revamp your DOCX file into HTML. Fine. Great.
They do their job you get your desired html file, but you cannot use it because <p> tags are filled with shitty stuff which has nothing to do with your css, you know.
For vanilla <p> tags, you have to negotiate the payment and stuff. Maybe. I don't know. I haven't gone that far down the road.
Wanna convert a doc/docx/odt/... file to html? Easy as a pie, guys!
You fire off libre writer, open a copy of the file you'd like to use in a site, under Edit you hit the button "find and replace", and check the box Regular expressions.
Now fill the form with:
Find: $
Replace: </p>\n<p>
Hit "Replace all".
You've got a file of paragraphs neatly starting with <p> (except for the very first sentence before which you have to insert <p> manually) and ending with </p> (except for the very last one where you have to delete odd <p>.
Here you are! Add attributes and stiles and classes to your liking.
Don't thank me, go and play in free vistas.
