I need the URL to open in the same tab. As it is written in the documentation for this module (https://docs.python.org/3/library/webbrowser.html) for you need to set the parameter new = 0, but this does not work (despite the fact that I specified (0/1/2) the URL opens in the same tab).
Tell me what to do with this, or maybe there is an alternative module or the ability to automatically close the tab?

Подскажите что делать с этим, или быть может есть альтернативный модуль или возможность аатоматически закрывать вкладку?
