Hello Coders, We have made recent changes to our privacy policy and site rules and guidelines. With the hopes of protecting all of our privacy. Code Forum is a coding community, and we come here to learn, build and share our work. With that being said, we would like for your information to stay protected and private, and using your personal information does not help us achieve this. We have implemented a few guidelines that will hopefully work. A summary of these guidelines includes the following: using your full name in your username or anywhere on your profile visible to guest or other coders, displaying your age, email, address and other information that can or could be used to identify you on your profile, your posts and anywhere...
Hello Coders! I am pleased to announce that CodeForum.ORG now supports Q&A questions; You can now ask questions by selecting the "Question" option under thread status when creating a new thread. And when members start replying you and other members can vote on the answers. If one has successfully helped you, you can mark as "Best Answer". When you ask a question; Your thread will be given a prefix of "Need help" which means you are looking for help. Let's say if you chose a best answer, then the prefix will be "ANSWERED".
Hello Coders! I have a very important and exciting announcement! CodeForum.org now supports "Community Voting" again. I'll quickly go over how the community voting system works. In Front-End and Back-End development forums and some other sections, when creating a new thread you'll notice three tabs 'Discussion' 'Question' and 'Article' if you are looking for a solution to a problem. Then click on the 'Question' tab and ask your question (while using BBCode formatting and following How to ask a good question). As replies come in, other members can vote on the reply that best fits your solution then if it works, you can mark it as a solution by clicking the checkmark. The post will then be displayed as a solution. DO NOT MARK SOMETHING...
Hello Coders! I have an extraordinary announcement to make! Code Forum has reached 100 registered members; this is a fantastic achievement for our community and is the beginning of Code Forum's bright and prosperous future. With this achievement, we will begin working on community events such as coding challenges and contests etc. Code Forum will begin adjusting priorities to better provide to a community full of coders and developers. What can you expect continuing? With our recent achievement of 100 members, I have previously stated that once we reached 100, Code Forum would look for a moderator. I'm thinking of delaying this just a bit longer; perhaps when Code Forum reaches 110-115 members, but this may change soon. Code Forum...
Hello Coders, This announcement is in regards to a recent downtime we just had. The site was taken offline, where I then disabled all the add-ons and rebuilt some of the threads. This was all due to a bug that was reported that posts were out of order. I believe I have fixed the problem, but if you continue to see threads with posts out of order please report in community matters. https://codeforum.org/threads/post-moved-w-in-thread.401/#post-2455 Cheers!
Hello Coders! This thread is in regards to some changes that were made. I have moved a few key things around CodeForum where I think they would provide a better experience for members. I have made changes to the navbar and created a new page. I removed Media and placed it into the Graphics menu, I have also merged the forums and home tabs together as I felt it wasn’t useful as they both went to same page. This would be better if we had a blog or something. And new tab was added called Questions & Answers, although not final it will contain all question threads (threads marked as questions). Eventually I have plans of have different where you can look at question threads with no replies and perhaps another tab for questions marked...
Hello Coders, Early today we suffered a software exploit which led to a hacker getting a hold of sensitive account data. I believe that I have fixed the issue but are currently taking extra precautions to ensure this doesn't happen again. I ask if all members could please reset their password for security reasons. The exploit may have came from the XenForo provided API system which we do not use and or our compiler. Both have been permanently disabled. ~ Update: Multiple changes have been made in result to this breach. Directory indexing has also been disabled and file permissions were changed. I am deeply sorry for my lack of expertise within this area and will do everything in my ability to ensure that this never happens again. If...
Hello Coders! Just a quick announcement in regards to community hub and forum section changes. I wanted to go over a bit about Community Hub and introduce two new forums that were added to help keep the forum organized and easier to understand. First things first, the community hub is intended for members to make suggestions, post feedback and post their concerns relating to CodeForum.ORG. Again, we will never ask for your password so please DO NOT post in Community hub and or send a personal message to anyone containing your account information. Second, I have added two new forums within Community Hub; first is Announcements, Announcements will contain all official publications made by CodeForum.ORG staff such as new features, staff...
Hello Coders, I am pleased to announce our very own online Code Compiler! I'm very excited for everyone to start using it, I'll admit I have already started practicing with it and I am very truly happy with it and I hope you will too! The compiler can be used for numerous of things - such as testing, building functions etc. Once you have finished coding, just hit run and the compiler will execute your code. It will display the end product of your code within the output panel. You can also input values if required by entering values within the input panel. Once you are satisfied with your code, you can download it. The compiler is currently in BETA: this means that there is a few languages at the current moment and more will b The...
Hello Coders! I just have a quick announcement regarding member privacy. It was brought to my attention that member ages were being displayed in their profiles. Although not intentional, we don’t need to see members ages, unless you wish to display it. I have went and changed settings for when new members registers it is automatically switched off. I have also turned show year of birth off on current members. If you wish to have it back. You can do this in Account Details. Cheers!

Hello Coders! I just wanted to make a note of the recent downtime we experienced and apologize for any inconvenience this may have had on your day. The downtime was result of a few issues with setting up our emails and SSL/htaccess file. As mentioned above the downtime was a result of email, SSL and htaccess erros. I'll explain more in detail on what happened: The issue regarding our email was that while we were setting our records, we accidentally conflicted two DNS A records which result in some users witnessing "hello!" text. SSL is a little tricky, we believe it was a result to the SSL no being installed correctly on our server, but we also found out that our SSL Certificate issuer recently was acquired by Sectigo and could have...
