JavaScript Javascript code works more than once

Hello everyone,

I will try to explain briefly but not sure I can do that or not.

When I click on the edit button, a modal page appears on the screen. Inside this modal, there is is_index_sample_edit button. Clicking the X symbol(not refresh the page) in the upper right corner closes the edit modal. Then, I press the same edit button again and the same model page appears. But this time I press the is_index_sample_edit button. Instead of entering the function #2 code once, it enters it twice. I only press the is_index_sample_edit button once but, the console prints the value AAAAAAAAAAA twice in a row. I wonder why? I keep some values in an array inside the #2 code and this data is repeating itself for this reason. Thanks in advance.

Yikes, that sloppy indentation.... Makes it hard to see what's happening. But unless I am finally going blind there are three opening brackets here but only two closing brackets. Not sure this explains what you are seeing but I don't trust it.

I hope the #1 and #2 are not part of the code. You are also missing 2 closing brackets beside the brackets cbreemer saw. See if this code works:
